Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of Ministry of Agriculture (FECC) has establishedclose cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), relevant international agro-related organizations and development assistance agencies to carry out in-depth South-South Cooperation, the projects of China-aid demonstration centers and foreign-related training activities, help developing countries to advance agricultural development,improve food security and nutrition, and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2030).
• South-South Cooperation (SSC): carrying out project design, the dispatch of experts abroad, executive management, country studies, technology extension, capacity building and knowledge cooperation. By the end of 2016, FECC has so far implemented 34 SSC projects, dispatched more than 1,000 agricultural experts and technical staffand extended over 200 agricultural technologies in 28 countries.
• China-aid Demonstration Center:conducting project visits, assessment and argumentation, feasibility studies, planning and design, and monitoring and evaluation. By the end of 2016, FECC has participated in and organized 25 projects of China-aid agricultural technology demonstration centers in Africa.
• Foreign-related Training: with an aim to fulfill external commitments made by leaders, undertaking training tasks with the focus on foreign aid training projects entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of China, inviting personnel from relevant countries to participate in the training in China based on the regional cooperation mechanisms, and organizing appropriately sized overseas training projects. FECC organizes 30 training courses annually.
