The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as agricultural economic and trade, S&T, mutual market access for animal and plant products, and joint prevention and control of locusts in border areas.

Vice Minister Zhang said that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, bilateral cooperation mechanisms have been gradually refined; agro-trade has continued to grow; investment and cooperation have maintained good momentum; and sci-tech exchange has been pragmatic and efficient. He said China hopes to engage in frank discussions with Kazakhstan regarding each other’s concerns and continuously improve pragmatic agricultural cooperation between the two countries, so as to make new contributions to the development of China–Kazakhstan relations.

Vice Minister Kenzhekhanuly spoke highly of China–Kazakhstan cooperation. He said Kazakhstan hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in agricultural economic and trade, along with technology exchange, thus advancing deep and solid agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
